Is the multivitamin for kids, from external laboratory tested, and free from toxic heavymetals? Hi, yes we are governed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and as such our products meet strict quality and purity requirements (including for Heavy Metals). We use third party accredited laboratories for our assay work.
Hi, regarding the kids multivit I would like to see the information about how much of the vitamins there are in a seving. I miss that info! Hi, the product pages show this information. It is in a central section (on a gold background) where you can access full ingredient info, nutritional information, dosage, health claims/benefits etc.
I’m very excited to see the vitamins aimed for vegan children. I was only a bit dissapointed that iron and zinc are in there together because they both lower each others intake….I want to believe your vitamins are based on science but this made me question if a should buy them or not. Hi, having Iron and Zinc in the formula is essential for what we're wishing to achieve with this high strength MultiVit. We use specific forms of each mineral to manage exactly when they absorb in the body. This is an important part of the formula design. Also, although excess intake of Zinc can impact Iron absorption, this is not the case at the levels we are using. The two work perfectly fine together in normal conditions.
Just wanted to check is it okay for a child, who has no issue swallowing tablets, to swallow rather than chew your kid's multivitamin? One of my kids didn't realise you were meant to chew it and so took it like their other vitamins and swallowed it instead. I then told her to chew instead but when she did that with her second tablet she said she didn't like the taste, so I wanted to check that the vitamin is okay to be swallowed and this won't affect how it works? I know you won't recommend swallowing because of choking hazards and things but I just want to know as far as the tablet is concerned that it won't be a problem if my child chooses to take it like that. Thank you Hi, yes it is fine to swallow the tablet straight down without chewing. You're absolutely correct - it is the choking hazard we are primarily concerned with. The chewing action doesn't impact the efficacy or absorption of the nutrients.
It’s really great to see an ingredient list on these to know what form of each vitamin is included. But I don’t know what each ingredient is for, like magnesium stearate, since there is no magnesium in the vitamin. Is it possible to list the purpose of each ingredient? Hi, Magnesium Stearate (made from plant-source stearic acid) is included to hold everything together and allow the tablet to form.
I was wondering why Maltodextrin is included in the formulation? It is UPF and multiple studies have demonstrated that it can impair the intestinal mucus barrier, increasing the likelihood of developing leaky gut and therefore food allergies. Hi, Maltodextrin is perfectly safe and inert. Data-relevance and dose-relevance are essential when referring to such reports (as is ingredient purity). A small amount of Maltodextrin appears as part of spray-dried nutrients/vitamins found in our Kids MultiVit formula.
What are the amounts of vitamins in the kids multivitamins Hi, the full ingredient list and product information are on the product page. If you scroll the page, you can access everything.
My nearly 2 years old vegan granddaughter gets her Vit B12 (and others) from the Vegan Society’s Veg 1 Baby & Toddler liquid in the moment.I just read about your new chewable kids product & am intrigued to buy this instead. However, comparing the two products I see yours only provides 2.5μg for 2 tablets (the liquid form has 5μg per dose). So, given the age of my granddaughter, this would mean she would only get even half of that (1.25μg), as she is supposed to take just one tablet. Can you confirm, this is still sufficient for a child of this age, being raised on a vegan diet? Hi, we've designed out Kids MultiVit on advice from Health Practitioners and Nutritional Experts, so we are confident the B12 dose is sufficient for young children. It is, however, safe to take additional B12 alongside our MultiVit if you require a higher dose to overcome a specific deficiency.
Hello, I am just wondering if you would ever bring out a non chewable children's vitamin? I am not keen on the chewable ones with the added swetneers etc. Thanks Hi, no we aren't planning non-chewable for children. Safety is such an important consideration that we want to ensure the formula is soft and chewable for children.
Are the kids multivitamins allergen free. Especially are they gluten and dairy free? Hi, yes our Kids MultVit is free from gluten, sugar, wheat and dairy.
Hello, is there any reason why one tablet cannot be crushed and added to food for a 19 month old if you weren't keen on giving them a whole tablet to chew? Hi, yes the Kids MultiVit is pretty soft so can be crushed with little force.
Hi, I love the idea of having iron and I usually give iron supplement on days where my kids have a lower iron intake but at 60% of their requirements, I'm worried about iron toxicity if they took these everyday but I wouldn't want to give them only one tablet as I'd half the rest of their intake on everything else as well. Has iron overload been considered? I imagine it has. Hi, yes we've carefully balanced the level of Iron with children in mind to ensure the right amount through the daily dose, without the risk of overload.
I notice calcium is not included. Do you have kids calcium supplements? Hi, there was no room for calcium in the tablet. Calcium takes up a lot of tablet space and weight, so we had to prioritise other nutrients. At present we don't offer a standalone calcium formula.
Hi ! I'm currently giving my vegan 3-year-old son calcium and Omega-3 supplements. If I start giving him this multivitamin, should I continue with the other two supplements? Thanks! Hi, that sounds like a perfect regime. Our Kids MultiVit doesn't contain Omega-3 or Calcium (we'd love to include them but just don't have the space in the tablet or it would become a suppository!!), so it is a really good overall combination.
Will the kids multivit be a gummie style one or a chewable tablet? Thanks! Hi, our Kids MultiVit is a chewable tablet. The problem with gummies is you can't get much in them, and there are loads of essential nutrients we would've had to leave out.
Hi! I don’t see magnesium on the supplement list. What about magnesium? Hi, if we had the space left in the Tablet, it would've been great to include Magnesium. We have had to prioritise nutrients based on the highest deficiency risk items for the key age groups.
Will the kids multivitamin be just as comprehensive as the adult-multivitamin? I hope that question makes sense... The multivitamin for adults covers so much and not many other supplements are required when eating a vegan diet. Is that the same for the multivitamin for kids? Or do I need to add additional settlements for my child? Hi, the Kids MultiVit is certainly comprehensive! The formula is balanced for children so is different to our general (Adults') MultiVit.
