Always tired? Feeling ‘foggy’ or sluggish? Skin looking and feeling dull? It sounds like your immune system needs a boost, and you may be low on Vitamin C.
We’ve all heard horror stories of rickets and scurvy, but Vitamin C deficiency doesn’t have to be that dramatic. It can simply feel like you need a ‘pick-me-up’. Sound familiar? We often neglect the ‘little things’ in our busy lives, but they hold us back from living our best life, and addressing them can make the world of difference.
Our bodies can’t make Vitamin C, so where do we get it from? We get Vitamin C from fresh fruit and vegetables, and of course, we would never discourage you from getting your 5-a-day. Keep eating those satsumas, but bear in mind that Vitamin C is easily destroyed by eating, freezing or cooking, and even when we do absorb it, our bodies can’t store it. This is why it’s so important to take regular supplements.

Vitamin C supplements - an easy win
‘I wish I’d been taking these for years’ is a common cry when someone discovers the benefits of bioflavonoids and Vitamin C tablets, and frankly, it makes everything we do worthwhile. Our team works with one purpose – to make you feel better, so you can enjoy life to the full. And when we launched our Vitamin C supplement, we couldn’t wait to see the difference it makes to you.
Why bioflavonoids?
These supercharge the effects of Vitamin C and are used as an antioxidant to treat osteoarthritis and other inflammatory conditions, to support blood circulation and a healthy heart, and to help prevent and naturally treat cardiovascular problems, hepatitis, varicose veins and hemorrhoids by improving microvascular blood flow.
Vegan Vit C
What’s holding you back from picking up a bottle of Vit C supplements? We know that many vitamins are derived from animal products, and many of you prefer to buy plant-based supplements, so we thought, why not make you – and the planet - feel great and happy? All our products are free from sugar, gluten, wheat and dairy and fully vegan.
Ever had tummy-trouble from vitamins? We’ve concocted a formula that’s high strength but easy on the stomach.
Eco-friendly Vit C supplements
We’ve left no stone unturned in our search for sustainable ways to create the best Vit C tablet. Natural is almost always best, but when it comes to Vitamin C, a synthetic formula is the greenest way to go. Using synthesised ingredients, we save vast amounts of fruit and other whole foods from needless waste. All our products are made in the UK and are non-GMO and are designed for vegans and vegetarians.
What do we need Vitamin C for?
Immunity. Our immune system is the first line of defence against a host of nasties, and it sometimes needs a boost, especially before and after intense physical exercise. For cyclists, swimmers, athletes or gym bunnies, Vitamin C is a game-changer.
Collagen. We need collagen for the healthy function of bones, cartilage, gums and teeth. And of course, to make our skin glow. Vitamin C works wonders for our collagen.
Metabolism. Our metabolism impacts our digestion and our absorption of nutrients. A sluggish metabolism can make us feel bloated and tired. Vitamin C helps us maintain a normal energy-yielding metabolism.
Nervous system. Our nerves need to be healthy to send impulses from the brain to the body. Vitamin C supports normal functioning of the nervous system.
Brain function: Vitamin C keeps our psychological function ticking along nicely.
Respiratory aid: It works to protect cells from oxidative stress, which means we can breathe easily, filling and emptying our lungs fully.
Fatigue fighting: Vitamin C gives us a boost, making us feel less tired and giving us more energy.
What happens if you don’t get enough Vitamin C?
Vitamin C deficiency shows up in many ways. Bumpy Skin is one, as Vitamin C plays a key role in collagen production, and keeps skin healthy by protecting it from oxidative damage. We also bruise easily without enough Vitamin C, as poor collagen production causes weak blood vessels. This also means our wounds heal more slowly when we’re Vit C deficient, and we can get painful, swollen joints, weak bones and bleeding gums. Vitamin C deficiency can also affect bone health and can be linked to increased risk of fracture and osteoporosis.
How much Vit C do we need?
The recommended daily amount of Vitamin C is 75 mg a day for women and 90 mg a day for men.
