The Vegetology Foundation is a fund we have set up to support a range of charities, community groups, events and organisations who are committed to giving back to the planet.
Vegetology is proudly sponsoring a brave chap called Mike Ford. He’s running the length of the UK John O'Groats to Land's End (JOGLE) via the Three Peaks which is roughly 1000 miles, starting on May 12th.. All the money Mike raises through donations will go to The Hike with Mike Foundation and Lymphoma Action.
Lymphoma Action is a charity that offers a wide range of support services for people affected by Lymphoma, including their friends, family and carers. They offer support every step of the way from receiving a Lymphoma diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. You can read more about the work of this incredible charity here.
The Hike with Mike is an incredible charity staffed and run entirely by Volunteers (of which, Vegetology's own Chris Smith is one). They provide 6 crisis counselling sessions for people, particularly men, who when they reach the very bottom and try to access help, they are faced with around a 16 week wait on the NHS which for many is too long and so very sadly they find solace in suicide. Every penny that the charity raises goes towards more and more counselling which is so awesome. You can find out more about this amazing charity here.
Go smash it Mike, we can't wait to see your progress!

Vegetology supports Framework, which is a leading homelessness charity based in UK and helps over 18,000 people a year.
Vegetology Director and co-founder Chris Smith explains:
"Framework’s activities make a huge difference to the lives of many people in need of a helping hand. They not only offer individual support, but also run campaigns to get to the root causes of homelessness and strive towards ending it. The ambitious ‘Building Better Futures’ campaign is something we’re proud to support”
We’re delighted to be working with Unicef and in August 2019 we visited Unicef HQ in London to give a £5000 donation from Vegetology. We are proud to support their amazing and vital work.
Foodbanks continue to play essential roles in the community. We were delighted to donate £2000 towards the amazing work done by Middlesbrough Foodbank for the local community there. Middlesbrough was hit very hard during the Covid-19 Pandemic, and this brilliant organisation helped many families in need.
We were delighted to donate £1000 and a load of Vitashine 1000iu tablets to Mansfield Soup Kitchen, an amazing charity that supports homeless and vulnerable individuals in North Nottinghamshire. Small local charities like this have been extra busy during the Covid-19 Pandemic, especially during the winter months.
The Covid-19 pandemic put a real strain on our wonderful NHS staff. They were exposed to Coronavirus on a daily basis and putting themselves and their health in harm's way to help others. We donated over 20,000 bottles of Vitashine Vitamin D3 tablets to NHS (and other emergency services, including the Met Police) to help give their immune systems a bit of extra support.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, we donated 20,000 bottles of Vitamin D3 across the Health and Care sector. As well as donating to the NHS and other emergency services, we donated bottles to Care homes and Care workers across many regions in UK. This included London, Merseyside, Nottinghamshire, Teesside and West Sussex. With Public Health England recommending individuals take Vitamin D to help support the immune system during the pandemic, we had to help!
Local to our Nottingham office, this amazing Academy delivers classes suited to all abilities. It is a registered charity and operates from funding and donations. We were delighted to support the Academy in July 2019 with a £1000 donation towards a new track.
Here are the boys at local football team Moorgreen Colts Blue U11s showing off their new Vegetology-sponsored training tops. They should keep the lads warms during the autumn and winter training sessions!
